新 Macbook Pro 的 Touch Bar 無疑是這款筆電的最大亮點，對於 Apple 如何在筆電上加入觸控操作，也讓外界產生好奇。知名 Apple 越獄達人「@stroughtonsmith」就做出分析，認為 Apple 是透過在 Macbook Pro 上運行 WatchOS 系統，來實現 Touch Bar 的應用！
他在 Twitter 上發布了他的分析內容，其中的關鍵在於 Apple 提到的「T1」處理器，這個採用 ARM 架構設計的處理器，是運行 WatchOS 的延伸系統，以便讓 Touch Bar 的觸控螢幕可以正常使用。
So this T1 chip is a standalone ARM device running its own variant of iOS, and managing the security of input devices (TouchID, camera, Bar)

透過 T1 處理器，Touch Bar 的觸控操作數據可以傳送給 MacOS 執行。同時 T1 也負責 Touch ID、相機的安全管理，其功能很類似 Apple Watch 上所使用的 S1 處理器。
「@stroughtonsmith」特別提到新 Macbook Pro 的視訊鏡頭是由 T1 處理器負個管理，原因不外乎是為了解決駭客暗中監看的問題，像是 Facebook 執行長 Mark Zuckerberg 就透過膠帶蓋住相機、來解決這種風險。
